Thinking about a home sauna? Here are 4 factors to note

We understand that adding a sauna to your home is no small decision.

So today we thought we would help you by providing some points to consider:

1) Will the sauna be installed outdoors or indoors?

Yes, our saunas can placed outdoors. But you will need to ensure that it is sheltered. We recommend you add a weather-proof sauna cover to prevent exposure. Your consultant can assist with this.

Please note that in the event of bad weather, you will need to reschedule your installation date.

There will need to be a flat surface to install the sauna on that is dry and protected from the weather. No flammable objects and corrosive chemicals can be near the sauna.

2) Delivery

Your sauna will be delivered in heavy flat packs. You must see to it that there are no major obstacles between the road and the storage location. Once the flat packs arrive at the storage location, there will need to be a dry area available.

3) Fitting the sauna into your home

Saunas have a large panel size. So it is important that there is enough space through the doors and pathways to the sauna’s location.

You’ll need to measure any doorway or hallway needed pre-purchase.

Also, you will need to allow room to lift the roof panel onto the sauna cabin.

4) Are you going to assemble the sauna or will you need a professional contractor?

If necessary, an electrician may have to install a dedicated outlet for your sauna.

Are you going to assemble yourself? If so, you will need 2 or more people so make sure that someone is available to help you. Also, please note that you will be responsible for disposing the sauna’s packaging post-installation.
